Playing the lottery can leave a Christian with an uncomfortable question: am I trusting God, or am I chasing luck? I understand why this feels personal. A ticket may seem harmless, especially when the jackpot is large and the money could help your family, support your church, or clear burdens that have followed you for years. Many Christians have bought a ticket, prayed about a financial need, and wondered whether a sudden win could be God’s provision rather than mere luck. The Bible gives us room to take that question seriously, but it also asks us to examine our motives, our stewardship, and our willingness to obey God with whatever He places in our hands.
